Ballet Papier Dances On: Be Positive and celebrate International Dance Day

These are strange and testing times and people all over the world are currently unable to visit dance studios and theatres. However, we can still celebrate our love for dance together.

Many of you have been doing an excellent job participating in our challenges throughout April and we have really enjoyed seeing you demonstrate your creativity. Please continue to share as much passion for dance as possible — remembering to tag Ballet Papier in your posts.

Post happy pictures and videos to celebrate being ballet fans. And why not try to help each other to discover new dance companies or learn about different dance styles too?

Be proud. Be positive. Be part of International Dance Day with Ballet Papier and encourage everyone to dance on!

CHALLENGE: Teach a family member or friend a dance step, exercise or routine.

Post your videos at instagram tagging @balletpapier and @balletpapierclub and use the hashtag #BalletPapierDancesOn

Deadline May 10th!

And to keep o celebrating International Dance Day at home, you could also:

Choreograph your own solo and perform it (for a family member and/or the camera).

Tune in to a different online dance tutorial — there are lots out there to try!

Watch a dance company that you have never seen before in an online performance. You could ask your friends to watch it online at the same time for your very own virtual dance video watch party.

Read a dance book — or write your own!

Draw a dancer or do some dance-themed arts and crafts.

Reflect on your dance achievements and set goals for the coming year.

Take a moment to sit quietly and remember why you love to dance. Post your photographs and ideas online using the hashtags #BalletPapierDancesOn and #BalletPapierInternationalDanceDay
